# Using Caller ID for Outbound Calls

{% hint style="info" %}
Caller ID is a custom number that is displayed on the called party's phone.
{% endhint %}

Here's a couple things to remember:

1. Please note that we cannot guarantee what will happen when you make an outbound call. If you stumble on a music instead of the dial tone – cellular provider might charge you for that;
2. You might not be able to reach the number you're calling as sometimes custom numbers get blocked by local providers. In that case you will need to try using different numbers from different providers;
3. Your custom number can be changed by the provider without a prior notice. Unfortunately, we do not control that process as we're not (yet) the cellular provider.
